Papa John’s rewarded Browns & Bengals fans a bit differently after Sunday’s debacle

Yep. That sounds about right. Bengals fans get 50% off their pies today for getting a win on the road against a division rival. Browns fans get 50% off because their team was able to score a point. At home. What a perfect illustration of where the two franchises are currently at. Cincinnati rewarded for accomplishing the one single goal a team has for each game. Cleveland rewarded for doing a single positive thing (which really wasn’t all that positive considering they couldn’t sniff the end zone and lost the game 37-3.) To quote the great Bill Murray, “Baby steps.”

Terrelle Pryor is back, and so is #PryorPorn

And just like that…we’re back baby.

We took a flyer on him before training camp. We stuck with him through his hamstring troubles. We cut him for a running back who our running backs coach had never heard of, who was injured at the time and who we would eventually cut two months later.

But today, my brothers and sisters, today the prodigal son returns. Terrelle Pryor is back in a Cleveland Browns uniform. And with him, the return of #PryorPorn. We don’t know what we’ll get from him on the field but we do know he’ll look damn good doing it. Let’s take a trip down memory lane, back to times of sunshine and camo jerseys…

Cincinnati couple had their real life actual wedding at Browns tailgate

Here I am, sitting in my living room in my fake Danny Shelton jersey from AliExpress, sulking about our alcoholic third-string quarterback and dreading heading downtown to attend this joke of a Monday Night Football game in a couple hours. I fire Twitter up to see what delusionally positive posts the Browns have put up on social media, only to see this.

Thank you, Melissa and Randy. Thank you. You just turned my Monday right the heck around.

This is what it’s all about right here folks. Marrying the love of your life in a parking lot surrounded by friends, family, and strangers waiting in line for porta potties. I know there’s nowhere else I’d rather do it. Is there any better metaphor for marriage than being a Browns fan? Through the ups and downs, thick and thin, in sickness and in health, you stick with both.

So congratulations to Melissa and Randy, the one positive thing that’s come out of the 2015 Cleveland Browns season. May you #ContinueOnThisJourneyTogetherLikeABrown.
