Swaggs looked magnificent per usual

Regular Season Game 10: Texans vs. Browns

JJ Watt split out wide on offense, caught a TD pass, and everyone at ESPN collectively had to change their underwear.

Joe Haden’s interception was a thing of beauty #NoFlyZone

Favorite pic of the game. A punter patting the best defensive player in the NFL on the head. So disrespectful and I love everything about it.

The Browns one shining moment all game. Nice downfield blocking by Austin

Turning point of the game right here.  If Crowell doesn’t fumble this, we go up 10-7 or 14-7. It doesn’t help that the broadcasters mushed the fuck out us

Quick thoughts:

-That game sucked. Whatever. We’re 6-4 and now we’re right in the thick of things in the AFC North. We don’t control our own destiny anymore so our two games within the division mean even more now.

-I don’t understand our running back rotation at all. A week ago against the Bengals Terrance West had 26 carries. Yesterday he had 5. I’m fine with Crowell being the featured back, but I don’t understand the carries distribution.

-Hoyer played like shit. 30 incompletions was a franchise record for most incompletions in a game. He looked off the entire game. He easily could have had three interceptions. Last week it was “Sign Hoyer long term!” This week it’ll be “Play Johnny!” Can’t wait for talk radio this week. Ugh.

-Paul Kruger catches that INT, Cundiff makes that 38 yard field goal, and if Crowell doesn’t fumble that’s a totally different ballgame. We’re not a good enough team to miss opportunities like that.

-The rush defense continues to get gashed. Losses in the front seven will do that to you I guess.

-Is it that hard to stop a simple out route? Seriously. I think Mallett had half of his completions throwing simple out routes.

– I was at the game. Did this officiating crew look as bad on TV as they did in the stadium?

-I don’t think Johnny would have performed much better but Hoyer’s last 3 games leave a little to be desired. I’m not calling for Manziel by any means but that doesn’t mean I’m not curious.

When no one in the entire country believed in them, the Browns proved once and for all that they’re for real this year. ESPN, NFL Network…. everyone picked Cincy to win. No respect for Cleveland. But that’s nothing new…

So what did the Browns do? Nothing really… just went into a hostile environment where the home team hasn’t lost in forever.. on a Thursday night primetime game… and castrated the entire city of Cincinnati by winning 24-3. And to be honest, that score doesn’t tell the full story. That was a drubbing. A statement game. We’re no longer the “little brother” in Ohio. The AFC North runs through Cuyahoga County this year.

Jeremy Hill had the game of his life (JK he sucked lolz) and decided to say the Browns were worse than he thought they’d be. Even though he fumbled and his team lost by 21 points.

Dalton pooped his pants3 times last night which resulted in 3 interceptions

And in the end we improved to 6-3 and first place in the division. Somebody pinch me. If you would have told me earlier in the year we’d be 6-3 and coming off a 24-3 beatdown of the Bengals I would’ve slapped the shit out of you. This feels good. You have a GOOD football team this year, people. Enjoy it.

A win is a win is a win. In the NFL it doesn’t matter how you get there, who you play, what the score is, the only thing that matters is that number in the left hand column. Don’t look now but that Browns have five wins and are over .500 this late in the season for the first time since 2007. That’s 7 years of shit football. I don’t want to hear the bitching. People, the NFL isn’t the BCS. There are no style points. There’s no strength of schedule. You play the teams on your schedule and you try and win each week.  It’s hard to win in this league and the Browns are doing it. Please spare me the bullshit “yeah but look at who their wins are against.” It doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is the win-loss record at the end of the season. 5-3. On to Cincinnati. Let’s look at the game tape.

Mike Evans= Man. Also he flashed the money sign in honor of his former college teammate.

And the offense responded to Evans TD with this

Bademosi got F’ed up. I know how this feels and it’s not fun.

But then Tashaun Gipson decided to be Ed Reed this year & got his league leading 6th interception.

And we went into the half down 9-10. If you want me to try and explain what was going on at the end of the first half, I have no idea. The Bottlegate Twitter was a little harsh too.

The Browns came out strong in the second half and put together a 6 minute touchdown drive and Terrance hit the Shmoney

Regular Season Game 8: Buccaneers vs. Browns

And this set up the most anticipated Thursday night football game of the season

 If he ever gets a quarterback, Mike Evans is gonna be a good one

Kruger got like his 50th sack of the year

And the next play Craig Robertson blocked a punt

We started having SO MUCH FUN in the second half

Taylor Gabriel hauled in the first TD of his career. I’m starting to really like this guy.

But the real hero of this play was Terrance West and his blocking

After a couple of defensive stops the Browns got the ball back, ran out the clock, and ran the most beautiful play I’ve ever seen

Quick thoughts:

  • As I said last week, I’d really like any sort of  a run game to show up
  • Don’t look now but Mingo has made some big time plays in the past 2 games
  • That helmet to helmet play in the 2nd quarter that wasn’t called was complete bullshit
  • Joe Haden v AJ Green on Thursday should be fun. Joe’s starting to play like his Pro Bowl self and Green is still a little knicked up
  • The bend-but-don’t-break defense won’t work against the Bengals
  • Mike Evans is gonna have a nice pro career
  • Taylor Gabriel continues to impress
  • Hopefully Andrew Hawkins is healthy enough to play against his former team Thursday
  • 5-3 this year, 300 yards and 2 touchdowns in this game and yet people still want Johnny. Sigh.
  • The other teams in the AFC North can start losing whenever they want K thanks
  • Where’s Crowell? Doesn’t the running game need a spark? Feed Tha Crow.
  • I still don’t understand how Bucs QB Mike Glennon is engaged to this
  • 2 more games till #JG12 is back. Can’t wait.
