First up is Kyrie Irving and his new German Shepard (I think) puppy named Drew. After Uncle Drew, duh. O my God I can’t even deal with this right now. Too fucking cute. After Kyrie bought Boobie Gibson’s old house, he needed someone to take Keyshia Cole’s place and lil Drew is more than willing to fill that void. He’ll probably even be cleaner that Keyshia was too. (was that a cheap Keyshia Cole joke? Yes. Yes it was)

And this is Josh Gordon’s new pup. Look at this little devil. Who cares about being a Pro Bowl wide receiver and leading the NFL in receiving yards, Josh Gordon is gonna pull all the ladies with his sidekick Bonnie right here. I mean, look at this face:

I have a feeling him and Swagger are gonna grow up to be best buds. Bonnie is gonna fit in quite nicely with the Dawg Pound.

Which leads me to my next question- can me, Kyrie, and Josh PLEASE have a puppy play date? I’ll bring Bodhi… Drew, Bonnie, and Bodhi. The Three Musketeers.

Lebron’s new Sprite commercial is a 7/10

Needed more from that. Where’s the pizzazz? Where’s the pomp? C’mon Sprite, you’re better than that. The whole time I was watching I was waiting to get chills. The chills never came. His Beats By Dre commercial was about a bajillion times better. Whatever. Can’t wait to see what other commercials and videos are released this week.

This is the good stuff

Just bought tickets to the opener on Thursday so I’ll see you lunatics at the Q. I don’t even know what to expect. Aside from a Super Bowl (if it were to ever happen), I don’t think any singular game in Cleveland history has ever been as anticipated as the opener vs. the Knicks. Can’t wait. (Bart Scott)

How I Spent My Summer Vacation – Kevin Love

I’m not even going to quote the article because you absolutely need to read it in its entirety. Unless you don’t like things that give you the chills from your toes to your nose.

The first half of it praises Andrew Wiggins for how he handled the whole situation, and how Love himself went through the same type of stuff while they both were in “NBA purgatory” for much of the off season. He follows that up with a heartfelt thank you to Minnesota, even throws in a little video thanking fans for not burning his jersey. The man just oozes with class.

It was the second half where Love talks about the Cavs trip to Brazil where I helplessly succumbed to my Cleveland Boner. It’s an interesting visual when he describes boarding the plane as the first day of school. We think about these guys as million dollar athletes but they’re just regular dudes that have regular awkward moments before getting to know people, just like us humans. It makes you appreciate the importance of veterans like Mike Miller and James Jones. And also the best basketball player on the planet.

“I came to Cleveland because I want to win. I’ll grab a broom and sweep the floors if it gets me an NBA title.”
