Cardale Jones held a presser to announce he was returning to OSU and a bunch of jackasses lost their mind

As you probably already know, Cardale Jones announced that he is returning to the Ohio State football team next season. Third string QB turned starter for the National Championship. A kid whose ups and downs have been pretty well publicized decides to return to school and forego millions of dollars. Pretty cool story, right? Well not according to some sports writers out there.

Apparently going back to your high school and holding a press conference to announce you’re going to further your education is a bad look. Because fuck being a role model for young kids in the community you’re from, right?

Here’s a little collection. Had to screenshot them because you never know when someone can delete a tweet because the take is too 1f525-twitter1f525-twitter1f525-twitter1f525-twitter

First- Mike Florio from Pro Football Talk. Ya know, this lil guy:

I went back and searched “Cardale Jones” on ProFootballTalk and there have been 8 articles posted about him since Tuesday. That’s a lot of content. Don’t know why Florio is bitching like a little bitch.

I don’t know this Michael guy but he seems like a real wet blanket, huh? O, nevermind he’s also a writer for PFT which explains everything.

More Florio-

Here’s former Tampa Bay Bucs GM Mark Dominik. Because if you respect an opinion of anyone, it should be a guy who was fired from the very respectable and successful Tampa Bay organization

And now we get into the “smear Ted Ginn campaign” because Ted Ginn is the most selfish guy in Cleveland, right? He’s never done anything beneficial for his players and students.

Sometimes the Pro Football Talk commenters actually have good non trolling takes. Here are two

Can’t wait for every sportswriter over 50 to cite that tweet he had 2 years ago as a form of immaturity. Looks pretty immature here

Just like our e-mail said, Cardale Jones is returning to OSU

So this means we scooped the entire sports media world, right? Little ol’ Bottlegate.com just doing the dirty work of the internet. You know it’s bad when 2 idiot assholes who run a blog have this information before major sports media outlets.

Can’t wait to see 12 Gauge back in the Scarlet and Grey next year throwing BOMBS, trucking D-linemen, and hurdling DBs. If he can continue the success he had in these past 3 games there’s no reason why he couldn’t be a top 5 pick in the 2016 draft.

Cardale said himself that he wasn’t ready so I don’t know why all these media types are freaking out. He made the decision that he thought was best for him, no need to put him down. He’s betting on himself, not chasing money, and returning to school… shouldn’t that be commended?

Can’t wait for Virginia Tech. Go Bucks.

What better way to celebrate 12 Gauge’s return than with one of these bad boys?

The Browns finally reach the 21st Century; introduce Phase 2 of their renovations

From ClevelandBrowns.com

All 35 concession stands throughout the stadium will be remodeled with modernized facades, signage, menu boards and way-finding. The Browns’ food and beverage transformation, spearheaded by an expanded partnership with Aramark, will take a big step forward with additional celebrity chef stands that will be available to all fans in the 100 level, upgrades to all concession stands and food concepts throughout the building and additional portable chef stands added to the 500 level. Among the expanded options: Michael Symon’s “B Spot,” Rocco Whalen’s “Great Lakes Cheesesteaks,” Jonathon Sawyer’s “Sausage and Peppers” and Chris Hodgson’s “Downtown Dogs.” Even the concession areas that do not feature these chefs will be much more Cleveland-centric and provide upgraded food and beverage items.

The lights will be brighter, the signage and way-finding throughout the concourse will be spruced up and easier to read and high-definition graphics of Browns players, legends and the Dawg Pound will be displayed inside and outside of the stadium. The graphics on the outside will be big enough to see from the road as fans drive toward Lake Erie for the big game.

Every inch of the stadium’s premium areas will be revitalized while the Grille Club, north and south clubs and upper- and lower-level suites will be restructured and refurbished. A field-level hospitality location will be added opposite of the Browns’ locker room. There, fans will be able to enjoy food, drink and warmth as they watch the players run out of the tunnel and onto the field at the start of the game and after halftime.

Here’s a few pics of the proposed changes

“It doesn’t matter what the stadium looks like, the team just needs to win” – Every fan over the age of 50 probably

Love it. This is much needed. With the growing popularity of watching the NFL at home (Sunday Ticket, huge HD TVs) the Browns needed to inject some life into the boring concourse and suite level. The new scoreboards are fantastic, but go to (almost) any other stadium in the NFL and the Browns are way behind the times. There’s no personality, no local foods (except for a few), just regular old concession stands with regular old concession stand food. This gives the fans a little variety on what to wash down their 22nd beer with.

I’m not even going to address the suites because ha, no chance I’ll ever be in one.

Now can we please get some more damn concerts in here? Geez Louise.

PS- Is it the most Browns thing ever to use pictures of Josh Cribbs in these new plans? He hasn’t been on the team in like 3 years.
