Browns v Colts Monday Game Tape. Sigh.

Shit.

Abandon

Welp.

Quick one this week because every time I think of yesterday’s game my heart hurts and I get physically ill.

Let’s look at the game tape

The day started out with so much promise. The D was flying around like their hair was on fire.

Luck responded

The crow flew home to the Dawg Pound

Brian Hoyer overthrew a streaking Josh Gordon by a mile and Johnny was shown on the sidelines mouthing “I would have fucking hit him.” Maybe. Probably not.

Justin Gilbert finally showed up in a big way with a pick 6

Paul Kruger pushed Andrew Luck with his arms and got called for a personal foul? Bullshit call. Uh, sorry he’s stronger than you?

Even though he got called for a foul, his symphony celebration was gold

Sigh.

Sure this kid may be a douche. But I laughed.

Couple quick thoughts:

– First of all… Fuck.

– Why didn’t this whole notion of Gordon being “out of shape” come up after the Atlanta game?

– And why don’t we try those quick hitters to Gordon more often? We tried one on the first drive and gained an easy 9 yards. When you have a horse, you ride it.

– Craig Robertson- Man’s game.

-Cut Billy Cundiff right now. He’s a liability. Can’t afford to not get three points when you have a struggling offense.

-Kickoff and Punt team were an  A+++

– Anyone else see Mingo making actual plays? Let’s hope that continues.

– I wanted Hoyer to start the whole season, that quickly changed with the past 4 games. If they get something, anything, from the QB position yesterday, the Browns win that game. It’s time for #2.

Indians finally snag Brandon Moss from Oakland

Happy Monday, Cleveland. The move that was supposed to go down last week is now official. 2B prospect Joey Wendle heads west with 2014 All-Star Brandon Moss coming to The Land.

For my money, this is a great trade for the Tribe. Wendle is a decent prospect who can swing the bat pretty well for a middle infielder, but he’s 24, hasn’t played above AA and missed a chunk of last year with a broken wrist. Moss is coming off a surgery of his own (hip), but has proven at the major league level that he can do one of the things the Indians lineup needs the most: leave the yard. He should be healthy by spring training. Sure, that’s a little bit scary, as is the fact that we’re adding yet another left-handed bat to a lineup that’s already dominated by them. It’s certainly a calculated risk by the front office. But with the MI depth we have with guys like Jose Ramirez, Francisco Lindor and Erik Gonzalez, it’s one that I’m all for.

Johnny Manziel mouthed the words “I would’ve f*cking hit him” after Hoyer had his 19th overthrow of the game

I’m no lip reader but the fine inhabitants all over the great Internet seem to be sure that Johnny Manziel 100% mouthed the words “I would’ve fucking hit him” in reference to Brian Hoyer overthrowing Josh Gordon for a sure touchdown.

I think he’s saying “I have no fucking idea” more than “I would’ve fucking hit him”

I’m sure every esteemed member in Cleveland sports media will pull the ol’ “Johnny should be a better teammate, he shouldn’t be mouthing swear words on the sidelines. Grow up. How dare him?!”

Do you really disagree with Johnny here? I’m a former very average high school quarterback, I would’ve fucking hit him too. If you were keeping score at home, that was Hoyer’s second deep pass that he overthrew that would have been a guaranteed six points. Can’t miss opportunities like that in the NFL if you’re a starting quarterback.

The Hoyer experiment is officially over, it’s time for the rook to get us back into this thing. Hopefully it’s not too late.

PS- 100% of all the lip readings of NFL players and coaches are always right
