Browns hire (first choice?!?!) Hue Jackson as head coach

BANG.

Head coaching experience. An offensive mind. History of developing quarterbacks. No-nonsense attitude. And, perhaps most importantly, NOT named Doug Marrone.

The Cleveland Browns hired their first choice to be their next head coach and I’m not really sure what to do with my hands right now. Give Hasashipodesta (yup) some credit here. They did their due diligence on some guys, recognized one they really wanted, and went and got him. The new regime is 1-0.

This search seem SO much different than the last couple to anyone else? No smoke and mirrors, not many rumors floating around. They interviewed guys, publicly confirmed they interviewed said guys, then moved on to interview the next guy. Much more succinct. It’s like they had an actual, real-life plan (gasp!)

I’m relieved. Give Huey the nickel tour of Berea and let him get to work so I can stop talking about this team for a little while and enjoy my Cavaliers in peace. See you at the draft.

The Cowboys Mascot Pranked LeBron And JR Smith In Their Hotel Rooms In Dallas

From DallasCowboys.com

James arrived in Dallas late Monday night as his current team plays Tuesday night in Dallas.  The Dallas Cowboys Mascot, Rowdy, knew LeBron was coming and thought this would be a great opportunity to welcome him to the Big D.

With the help of LeBron’s trainer, Rowdy was able to greet LeBron upon his arrival to his hotel room.  By the way, LeBron had no idea what he was walking into.

Since Rowdy was already at the team hotel, he thought he’d pay a visit to another Cowboys fan that was in town for the same reason as LeBron, fellow teammate J.R. Smith.  Smith had no idea Rowdy was waiting for him and showed up with a Cowboys beanie on, nice touch J.R.

Probably the worst thing about LeBron is that he’s a Cowboys fan. I mean, be more basic, bro. However, these videos made me chuckle a little bit I can admit. I’d laugh my ass off too if I walked into a hotel if Brutus Buckeye or Moondog was waiting for me.
CowboyUpInPA with a great question on the family friendly Dallas Cowboys website:

And the answer is no. JR took ’em all.

Timofey Mozgov Rides A Bear Through Cleveland In This Outrageous Cavs Commercial

If you’re a company in the Cleveland area and you want to promote a product/service while going viral at the same time. you put Timofey Mozgov in your commercial. At this point it’s a no brainer. Thankfully the Cavs realized this and gave us the gem above. Nothing has ever felt more right than seeing Mozgov riding a Grizzly on top of the Hope Memorial Bridge on his way into Cleveland.

It’s like someone in the Cavs marketing department read this tweet from Dave McMenamin in December and decided to make it into a reality:

ALSO- It was nice to see Mozzie get some 4th quarter minutes last night and be able to contribute. Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come.
