Video: Iman Shumpert Screams “Hodor” And “Hold The Door” After Every Shot During Warmups

Game of Thrones is without a doubt the hottest show on TV right now. This past Sunday night we saw some heartbreaking but inspiring heroism and that carried all the way over to Shump’s Wednesay night warmup. Every jumper he put up was followed by a bellowing “HOLD THE DOOOOOR!” And why not, Shump is a lot like our boy Hodor. They both have ONE JOB. If you watched the show you know what Hodor’s was (Hold the damn DOOR). Shump’s is “Play the Defense.” Would not surprise me at all if sometime between now and the Finals that Shump had some crazy seizure and woke up only able to say “Playdee….playdee….PLAYDEE….” ever again (obviously short for Play the Defense).  Might as well change his name now.  LeBron’s great grandson is going to Warg into his brain during game 6 and whisper the message that will drive him insane and leave him only capable of one destiny the rest of his life; playing great defense and locking down Russell Westbrook in June.  If you didn’t see this week’s episode or don’t watch the series you have no fucking clue what I’m talking about and you’re living your entire life wrong.

ICYMI, Steph Curry is BACK

I know everyone has bad games and you could cut up some Cavs highlights from the past few clunkers that look even worse than this….but that doesn’t change the fact that this video is hands down the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me.

For those of you out there still clinging on to the “It’s hard to hate Steph” train, I present to you the events of the past 72 hours. After heroically returning from basically a hangnail of the knee he suffered in the first round (or an MCL sprain depending on who you talk to), Steph proclaimed himself to be “here” as well as “back” after a 17 point overtime period in Game 4 of the WCSF against the Blazers (see above GIF). However, he was apparently lying. The Warriors have gone down 3-1 to the Thunder in tremendous fashion, and although Steph is technically “there”, he is apparently not “back”.

A report comes out after last night’s 6-20 from the field, 2-10 from three and six turnover performance that Steph is playing at 70% strength, battling to come “back” from the knee injury he already said he was “back” from. I’m “confused”.

I mean come on. This doesn’t come out if the Warriors didn’t just  get emasculated on national TV two games in a row. We can all agree that he hasn’t been the same player since his return, but it’s pretty convenient timing for a report to confirm it.

Now I’m not going to straight up call Steph a liar and the Warriors sore losers because I’m a class act and that’s not how we do things at Bottlegate, but you’re all free to draw your own conclusions.

Juan Uribe went yard last night. Frankie Lindor was excited about it.

Great on the field? Check. Great in the dugout and clubhouse? Uh huh. Great in the community? You bet. Frankie just gets it man. Everything about being a professional athlete, even at 22 years old, he gets it. Crazy to think he’s still a year younger than that former Browns quarterback who’s currently unemployed and barely looking like a human, let alone a football player.

It might have been hard to enjoy at the time, given what was happening up in Canada, but let’s not gloss over that pimp job from Juan, either. A truly professional performance.
