For me the best part of this signing is not having having to read all the hot takes on Twitter anymore. 5 years $82 million is a win win for everybody involved.

So as it stands, the Cavs have locked up Kyrie, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson for the next 5 years. Oh yeah, plus that LeBron guy who looks like he’ll be around for a few years also.

Now about those uniforms Dan Gilbert tweeted out a few minutes before the Tristan news was announced… he has to be trolling, right?

Hey Kev, how was Utah and training at 7,000 feet above sea level? Did you learn anything cool?

This video trailer comes via The Players Tribune and chronicles Kevin Love’s summer of training and rehabbing his shoulder. The full video gets released tomorrow (which we’ll post here as well) and seems like it’ll must-see TV.

Like I’ve said before, the things I find most interesting about sports are the behind the scenes stuff. I want to see the locker room speeches, hear the players mic’ed up on the sidelines, or see the players practicing or working out. The games are obviously the best part, but I’m particularly drawn to what happens when the games aren’t going on.

I just got irrationally excited for this Cavs season.

JR Smith Crossed Up Paul George And Made Him Fall On His Ass

Do it to ’em, Earl!! JR Smith continued his run as the best preseason basketball player ever last night when he crossed up Paul George in the Cavs loss to the Pacers. Pretty sure the Cavs are going to go winless this preseason but whatever. If JR is eating cotton candy, making halfcourt shots, or murdering dudes ankles, then that’s worth the price of admission.

Being that this is Paul George, I bet Pacers fans everywhere pooped their pants when he fell down. Good thing he’s still alive and able to walk.

But seriously. Hey Paul, how’s that transition to power forward going?
