Chris Tabor Kept As Special Teams Coach, Is Leonardo DiCaprio In The Revenant

YES!!!

Chris Tabor. Chris motherfucking Tabor. The guy just won’t die. He’s a cockroach in a nuclear holocaust. He’s unkillable and unfireable.

Hired by Pat Shurmur, retained by Rob Chudzinski, retained by Mike Pettine… and now retained by Hue Jackson. Whatever Chris Tabor is doing I need to find out and start doing it myself.

He’s like Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant. He can get mauled by a bear, left for dead by his friends, attacked by Indians, maybe he’ll have to sleep inside of a horse or two… but he’ll always survive and he’ll ALWAYS be the Special Teams coach of the Browns. Doesn’t matter who’s coaching, Chris Tabor will always be in charge of punt formations and kickoff returns till the day we die. It’s commendable, really.

Now let’s get that left side of the line shored up so Travis Coons doesn’t have any more field goals blocked, eh?

ALSO- Once saw Tabor at the Hofbrauhaus downtown. He totally gets us.

Johnny Manziel Is Blowing Bernie Kosar Off And Won’t Return His Phone Calls

Via USA Today

Bernie Kosar has reached out to Johnny Manziel in hopes of talking to the troubled Cleveland Brownsquarterback.

One problem: Manziel hasn’t returned the messages.

“I’m embarrassed to even tell you how many times I tried,” Kosar, the beloved former Browns quarterback, told USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday. “I have tried to call him directly 18 different ways. If he chooses not to talk to me, that’s his choice.

“I’m not mad at him. But there’s a point where there’s an element of respect that’s involved.”

Kosar said he thinks excessive partying could lead Manziel, 23, to squander his NFL career.

I’ve lived in Cleveland for 27 years aka my entire life. If I’ve learned anything in those 27 years it’s that in this town you don’t piss off LeBron James or Bernie Kosar. Two of the most beloved and well respected athletes in our Northeast Ohio community.

Well, our boy Johnny Football has managed to piss off both within like 2 months. First LeBron dropped him from his marketing firm LRMR last week for being a shithead (Nike might drop him too). Now Bernie Kosar says Johnny is ignoring him and blowing him off on purpose.

I get if you don’t feel like talking and you ignore phone calls and texts from your mom… but Bernie Kosar? The man who has lived through being a quarterback in Cleveland and can actually give you real world advice that could undoubtedly help your career? Who’s one of the icons of Cleveland Browns football and has dealt with his own personal issues that Johnny seems to be dealing with? Out of everyone in the world why would he ignore Bernie?

I get that once Johnny gets cut that we’ll pile on him after he’s gone. But really though, has any athlete in Cleveland had a faster fall from grace than Manziel? Just 3 weeks ago he was playing football against the Chiefs and set a Browns record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a game. Now he’s become a national punchline and is losing business deals left and right. Not the journey of more success. It’s almost kind of sad but it’s his own fault.

Which Cleveland Professional Sports Team Has The Most Fake Twitter Followers?

So yesterday as I was perusing through the ol’ Twitter timeline I noticed an article from Next Impulse Sports claiming that half of the Carolina Panthers Twitter followers were fake. 500,000 accounts out of 1 million. Sheesh. Team accounts buying Twitter followers just seems kinda scummy. But apparently that’s pretty standard stuff for big companies/pro teams/celebrities trying to build their brand? I imagine in the early days of Twitter people probably did this shit all of the time.

Well, that got me to thinking about our favorite professional teams in Cleveland and their Twitter accounts and how many of their followers were real and how many were fake. Ya know, the real hard hitting, investigative stuff you’ve come to expect from this site.

I used Twitter Audit because that seems to be the go to site/app to expose these accounts. I’m not sure if it’s 100% accurate but there has to be some truth to it.

First up:

The Cleveland Indians

102,000+ fake accounts follow the Indians. So basically the capacity of The Horseshoe at Ohio State.

Cleveland Browns

Almost 152,000. I definitely thought the Browns would be close to around 300K. Just seems like a Scheiner or Farmer move to buy hundreds of thousands of fake followers while Scheiner was busy raising season ticket prices so he could afford to pay Swagger’s appearance fee.

Cleveland Cavaliers

What? The Cavs with 366K fake followers? Arguably the most popular team in town needed to buy all those followers? C’mon now… No doubt in my mind that this happened in 2010 right after Dan Gilbert wrote the Comic Sans letter. Truth be told I might consider losing LeBron again if that meant 100,000 + followers on the @Bottlegate Twitter account.

So there’s that. Hope you enjoyed this pointless “study.”

PS- Check that 98%, bitches
