Alliance Man Asks Police To Help Find His Weed

Via NewsNet5

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Alliance police report 42-year-old Dennis Wagner asked an officer to help him find his lost marijuana, as he sat in front of his East Summit Street home.

The incident was captured on police body cam. Wagner could be heard telling the officer, “I lost my marijuana somewhere around here.”

Police said it was clear Wagner was intoxicated when he asked the officer for assistance.

Seconds later the officer could be seen picking up the marijuana from the front lawn. Police said Wagner asked the officer if he could throw it back down so he could retrieve it.

Wagner was charged with possession and was scheduled to appear on a drug charge on April 29.

The more time away I spend from this city, the more I miss it, this is just classic Alliance right here. I spent 4 (and a half) years attending college in Alliance and the people who inhabit that fine town are one of a kind lemme tell you. No joke I’m pretty sure I lived on the same street as this guy.

And why is this cop being such a prude? C’mon Officer, the dude just wants his weed, he’s not hurting anybody. What, you’ve never asked someone for help if you lost something? Lighten up a little bit. And yes I’m still bitter when you guys broke up our party in 2010 when we rented a hot tub and had 100+ people at our house. People don’t forget.

If you’d help a little boy find his lost puppy, then why can’t you help Dennis find his lost baggie of weed?

There’s A Dog In The Cincinnati Zoo Who Is Raising Five Orphaned Cheetahs

Via WCPO

A nursery dog is stepping in to help nurse five cheetah cubs after their mother passed away over the weekend.

Willow, a 5-year-old cheetah, was lethargic and had no appetite following the C-section birth of her premature cubs. Zoo staff thought she would make a full recovery, according to a press release from spokewoman Michelle Curley.

“Cheetahs are a fragile species and this difficult birth proved to be too much for her to pull through. Without the C-section, we likely would have lost both the mom and the cubs,” Thane Maynard, Director of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, said in a press release. “Willow was able to contribute to the survival of her species by producing five cheetah cubs.”

The cubs have been bottle-fed by staff since their birth on March 8.

Now, the zoo has employed the expertise of another baby animal whisperer — an Australian Shepherd dog named Blakely.

And that’s just what you’ll get here on Bottlegate. Sometimes you’ll get almost 1,000 words on why being a Cleveland sports fan is exhausting. Sometimes you’ll get a blog on Jim Harbaugh being destroyed on Twitter.

But today you’re getting video of a dog nursing some baby cheetahs. The cuteness levels were so high I couldn’t not post it. Besides, talking about what LeBron says, tweets, or who he unfollows is getting old.

Hey girls, don’t flash the cops if you just put a crack pipe in your bra

From Cleveland.com:

“ELYRIA, Ohio — A Lorain woman is facing criminal charges after a crack pipe fell out of her bra while she flashed a police officer during a traffic stop, according to an arrest report.

Elizabeth L. Johnson, 49, is charged with possession of cocaine, obstructing official business, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She is scheduled to appear in Elyria Municipal Court Monday afternoon.

Officers convinced her to get out of the car, but she continued to yell and was uncooperative, police said. She insisted that she did not have anything illegal.

“Fine, you want to see what I have,” she said, according to the report. She lifted up her shirt and bra and the crack pipe fell to the ground, the report says.

The pipe tested positive for cocaine, according to police.”

Initial impressions? Not the best planning from Liz here. There’s only a few situations that could play out worse for a woman than flashing an officer of the law, but doing so after deliberately trying to hide a crack pipe in their bra is one of them.

However, upon further review, I don’t think this move is as absurd as the headline makes it sound. It’s a perfectly valid last-ditch effort if you ask me, borderline genius. Like the sticky bombs in Saving Private Ryan, or that one old basketball clip of the kid getting down on all fours and barking like a dog to distract the other team. It was worth a shot. She barricaded herself in a locked car with a crack pipe in her sweater that the cops watched her put there. Sure, the execution left a bit to be desired but the situation didn’t exactly offer a whole bunch of other options. Why not try and use what I can only surmise is a dreadful situation in her shirt as a positive? Would have to think the cops initial reaction would be to look away and not see the pipe, thus giving the illusion she has nothing to hide and possibly defusing the situation. But, like I always say, planning only gets you so far when you’re hiding paraphernalia in your undergarments. I hope Liz will learn from this loss and come back stronger in her next showdown with the fuzz.
